TBS (Technische Betriebs- und Service-Gesellschaft Chemnitz GmbH) was founded as the operating company by Chemnitzer Verlag und Druck GmbH and the then HSG Technischer Service GmbH to carry out the complete facility management. On the basis of a service contract, TBS uses a 3-shift system to ensure the newspaper?s printing and distribution operations run smoothly.
Chemnitzer Verlag und Druck GmbH prints the successful ?Freie Presse Chemnitz? paper, the largest East-German regional daily which enjoys a daily readership of around 830,000. The building is staggered in height. The 20-meter high middle section dominates with the 70-meter long, 5-meter wide, 12-meter high and 900-tonne printer.
The building complex comprises the front section, middle section with stairs, delivery hall, roll storeroom, rotation hall, further processing hall, dispatch hall and a separate reception building. |
