Berlin?s regional insurance institution (LVA Berlin) was renamed ?Deutsche Rentenversicherung Berlin Brandenburg? on 1 October 2005. LVA Berlin was founded back in 1891. Apart from an interruption from 1945 to 1952, it has been administrating statutory retirement insurance ever since. In Berlin it is responsible for more than 500,000 actively insured people and 400,000 pension claimants.
1,100 employees in 800 offices work in the new administration building of ?Deutsche Rentenversicherung? in Berlin. The 40,000 m² of net floor space are also home to a conference hall for approx. 200 people, the two-level underground parking garage, medical examination rooms and the canteen. |
