Bilfinger Berger Project Investments (BBPI) has developed and financed an important hospital project in Gloucester, England. HSG Zander is providing the facility management.
Beyond the original order of the client, the BBPI solution successfully combines new specialist areas with fully-renovated existing facilities. In this way it was possible to develop a hospital concept that links functionality, a friendly atmosphere and an improved work environment.
The 18,000 m² building has received a new out-patient and emergency ward as well as a new pediatrics ward. In addition, the front of the hospital and the entrance areas were fully-renovated. Expanded shopping opportunities also improved the comfort level of both patients and visitors.
The Gloucestershire Royal Hospital treats about 48,000 in-patients and over 100,000 out-patients each year and employs a staff of about 3,500 people.
The project clearly shows the possibilities offered by Bilfinger Berger, the Multi Service Group, to its clients in the area of long-term concession projects. Through innovative thinking, the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital order was developed from its basic construction into a solution that successfully incorporates the client?s requirements in the operative business. |
