The site consists of very different, mainly industrial buildings, which look back on a long history in aeroplane construction. After the bankruptcy of the aeroplane manufacturer Fairchild Dornier in 2002, the site was taken over by EDMO. Numerous firms involved in aeroplane and aeroplane parts manufacturing and repair settled here subsequently.
HSG Zander provides a wide range of services for these firms, partly on behalf of EDMO and partly directly for the site users. The particular challenge is ensuring safe operation of flights with all the technical airfield instruments including the tower. This includes the constant flight availability of the runways for take-off and landing in summer and winter. |
