This new company was created from the cooperation of two leading European facility management companies. In February 2008, Facility Services International (FSI) was founded as a joint venture of HSG Technischer Service GmbH and GSH Group plc. The common goal for the future is to offer integral facility management solutions at an international level for international clients in a growing European FM market.
By complementing the services offered by both companies, local expertise and the bundling of resources, an integral full-service provider with intercultural experience was created. FSI's mission is to jointly expand the possibilities for FM on the European market.
Core competencies of both companies are technical services and a diverse range of management services. Technical services include: maintenance of buildings and installations, technical design, execution and surveillance services, maintenance work and the substance of the building as well as all kinds of maintenance work that does not belong to the primary business of the client.
The product portfolio in the field of management services includes: consulting and project management assignments, management of a help desk or service desk, management of infrastructure tasks (soft services) and subcontractors, quality control, sales management and the so called facility management 'scan' or FM analyses.
As a first joint FM project FSI was able to win the facility management order of General Motors (GM) in Antwerp, Belgium. At GM?s manufacturing location GSH Belgium is now responsible for the full maintenance of all technical installations and of the fleet of vehicles (fork-lift trucks, electric vehicles etc.).
